1. Data Controller
INVENIA, located in Santa Tecla, La Libertad, El Salvador, is the entity responsible for processing your personal data through the FACTEL platform (www.factel.app). For any privacy inquiries, you may contact us at soporte@factel.sv.
2. Data We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
• Registration data: full name, email address, phone number, company name, tax ID numbers (NIT, NRC), and role within the organization.
• Tax data: electronic tax documents (DTEs) that you issue, receive, or process through the platform, including invoices, tax credits, credit notes, and debit notes.
• Usage data: information about how you interact with the platform, including pages visited, features used, and access timestamps.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and strictly necessary cookies for service operation.
3. Purpose of Processing
We use your personal data to:
• Provide electronic invoicing services in compliance with the Ministry of Finance of El Salvador regulations.
• Process, validate, and store electronic tax documents (DTEs).
• Generate analytics and business intelligence from your fiscal data.
• Communicate service updates, regulatory changes, and relevant notifications.
• Provide technical support and customer service.
• Comply with legal and regulatory obligations.
4. Legal Basis
Data processing is based on:
• Contractual performance: processing necessary to deliver the contracted service.
• Legal compliance: obligations derived from El Salvador's tax regulations, including DTE issuance and storage.
• Legitimate interest: continuous service improvement and generation of aggregated analytics.
• Consent: when required for specific purposes not covered by the above bases.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We may share information with:
• Ministry of Finance of El Salvador: DTE transmission as required by current regulations.
• Infrastructure providers: hosting and processing services necessary to operate the platform, subject to confidentiality agreements.
• Competent authorities: when required by law or court order.

We implement technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:
• Encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest.

We retain your personal data while you maintain an active FACTEL account. Electronic tax documents (DTEs) are retained for the period established by current tax regulations (currently 10 years). Upon account cancellation, we will delete your profile data, retaining only fiscal information required by law.

• Access: request a copy of your personal data.
• Rectification: correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Deletion: request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention obligations.
• Portability: receive your data in a structured, commonly used format.
